Celebrity Solstice - Celebrity Cruises

Celebrity Solstice is a Solstice-class cruise ship owned and operated by Celebrity Cruises. At the time she was launched, she held the record for the largest cruise ship ever built in Germany; however, her record was surpassed when the Disney Dream was launched in 2010.Celebrity Solstice is the first ship in the Solstice class, her sister ships being Celebrity Equinox, Celebrity Eclipse, Celebrity Silhouette and Celebrity Reflection. Equinox and Eclipse entered service in 2009 and 2010, respectively. Silhouette is scheduled for launch in 2011, and Reflection is expected to sail beginning in 2012.Externally, Celebrity Solstice looks very different from previous Celebrity Cruises ships. In original exterior renderings, the hull was shown as all-white with powder blue funnels and blue glass upper decks.[9] In a more recent update, the light blue color had been changed to Celebrity's normal dark blue color and the hull was shown having a resemblance to the current fleet's livery, with the promenade deck painted dark blue. Similarly, the large dark blue funnel with a white X that had been the trademark of Celebrity thus far has been replaced by two thin funnels, and it was planned to have the X logo of the company visible in the glass balcony railings on the ship's "hump" (The area of superstructure which extends outward farther than the rest of the balconies). Throughout her fitting out, sea trials, and launch, it was noted that the glass X, unless seen from certain angles, was not visible. Shortly after, the X was refinished to be darker, but still can be hard to see. An afterthought during the sea trials saw the addition of a white X onto the forward funnel, thus bringing Solstice more closely related to her fleetmates.

Disney Dream - Disney Cruise Line

Disney Dream is the third cruise ship operated by Disney Cruise Line, part of The Walt Disney Company, which entered service in 2011. Disney Dream currently sails 3-, 4-, and 5-day itineraries to The Bahamas. The Captain of Disney Dream is Tom Forberg; her godmother is Jennifer Hudson.The Disney Dream is 40% larger than its two older fleet-mates, the Disney Magic and the Disney Wonder, with a design gross tonnage (GT) of 128,000 tons,[8] a length of 330 meters and a width of 37 meters. The Disney Dream carries 4,000 passengers and 1,458 crew. Activities aboard Disney Dream include: a 9 hole mini-golf course, a walking track, digital sports simulators, a full-sized basketball court that can be converted for use as a soccer pitch, volleyball court, or football/table tennis area. There are also two smaller sport courts and two hangouts for younger children.
The ship features the first water coaster at sea, called "The AquaDuck", a 765-foot long winding waterslide with a four-deck drop and a course that winds 13 feet over the edge of the ship and through the ship's forward funnel. The AquaDuck runs the width of the ship and the length between the funnels, almost the size of a U.S. football field.The Disney Dream has multiple dining venues, including 3 themed, main dining restaurants, 2 adult-only specialty restaurants, a buffet, and multiple bars, lounges, and quick service stations.
Every night of a Disney Dream cruise, guest use a different restaurant. This is called "rotational dining".
Animator's Palate, a main dining restaurant, is inspired by Disney animation. Enchanted Garden is the second main dining restaurant, inspired by the gardens of Versailles. Royal Palace is inspired by classic films like Sleeping Beauty, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Beauty and the Beast, and Cinderella.

Carnival Magic is a Dream-class cruise ship, and is one of the latest of the Carnival Cruise Lines. The keel of Carnival Magic was laid on 12 January 2010. Unlike her predecessor Carnival Dream, which has 1,823 cabins, Magic has 1,845 staterooms. With the addition of 746 crew staterooms, Carnival Magic can carry over 5,400 persons. The ship was floated out from her drydock on 27 August 2010. She completed her sea trials between March 17 - March 20.According to Carnival's press release, the ship and her sisters, the Carnival Dream and the Carnival Breeze have the widest variety of activity, dining, and entertainment options of the entire fleet.The Carnival Magic is the largest ship ever constructed for Carnival, the largest ship ever built in Italy, and the second largest ship ever constructed for Carnival Corporation, second only to the Queen Mary 2 of Cunard.

Carnival Dream is a Dream class cruise ship. At 130,000 tons, she is the biggest the line has ever built. Her sister ships, Carnival Magic is the latest in the Carnival Cruise Lines (NYSE) ships, being delivered on April 27, 2011. While Carnival Breeze is expected out in June 2012.
The ship and her sisters, Carnival Magic are expected to have the widest variety of activity, dining, and entertainment options of the entire fleet.
Carnival Dream and her sisters are currently the biggest ships ever built in Italy, by Fincantieri. The ship has an array of cabins to choose from. The cabins ranges from interior staterooms to suites. In addition, the ship introduced newer forms of cabins for Carnival Cruise Lines. One new type of cabin is a deluxe ocean view stateroom. The deluxe ocean view stateroom has two separate washroom facilities. Another new cabin for the cruise line is cove balcony stateroom. The cove balcony stateroom has a partially enclosed veranda. The ship features special spa staterooms that are currently available on Carnival Splendor.

Voyager of the Seas - Royal Caribbean International

Voyager of the Seas, is a Voyager-class cruise ship, completed in 1999, for Royal Caribbean International. She is the namesake of Voyager-class ships.
It can handle up to 3114 guests, and, along with its sisters in the Voyager class, is one of the largest passenger ships in the world; currently, only the Cunard Line Queen Mary 2, Norwegian Epic and the Royal Caribbean International Freedom class and Oasis class are larger. Constructed at Aker Finnyards in Turku, Finland, the ship measures 137,276 gross tons on a 64,000 ton displacement. It is 1,020 ft. long overall, has a waterline beam of 127 ft. and a maximum width of 156 ft (47.55 m).
Voyager of the Seas is commonly referred to as a 'Floating hotel' due to the vast range of facilities that it offers, along with some world firsts for cruise ships when the ship was launched. Voyager features the world's first rock climbing wall (mounted on the funnel) and ice-skating rink at sea.

MSC Splendida - MSC Cruises

MSC Splendida is Fantasia-class cruise ship owned and operated by MSC Cruises. She entered service in March 2009, as a sister ship to MSC Fantasia. She was to be named MSC Serenata, but the name was changed in May 2007 to MSC Splendida "to reflect the ship's beauty and elegance".

Mariner of the Seas - Royal Caribbean International

Mariner of the Seas is one of five Voyager-class cruise ships from Royal Caribbean International; it is one of the largest in its fleet and among the largest passenger ships in the world. It was constructed at Aker Finnyards in Turku, Finland and had her maiden voyage in 2003. Currently the ship sails alternating 13 and 14 night round-trip cruises from Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy throughout the Mediterranean to ports in Italy, Greece, Turkey and Israel. She is currently captained by Flemming Nielsen. After the summer season, she will head to Port of Galveston, Texas for the winter. She is due for dry dock in April 2012, returning to the Mediterranean thereafter. As a second generation Voyager-class ship, the Mariner of the Seas' balconies are actually affixed outside the ship's superstructure, providing better views. All staterooms have a 2-bed configuration that can convert into a queen-sized bed. Other amenities include private bathrooms, phone, TV, minibar, hairdryer and air conditioning.

Navigator of the Seas - Royal Caribbean International

Navigator of the Seas is fourth out of Royal Caribbean International's five Voyager-class cruise ships. She was once one of the largest in the fleet and still ranks among the largest passenger ships in the world. Constructed at Aker Finnyards in Turku, Finland, the ship measures 138,279 gross tons and can carry 3,114 passengers, plus crew. Her length is 1,020 feet and with a beam of 157.5 feet. As of April 2007, she began departing exclusively from Southampton, UK, on cruises throughout Europe and the Mediterranean. Currently, the Navigator spends winters sailing four and five night cruises from Florida, and spends the summers sailing from Civitavecchia, Italy to the Eastern Mediterranean.

Queen Mary 2 - Cunard Line

Queen Mary 2 is a transatlantic ocean liner. She was the first major ocean liner built since Queen Elizabeth 2 in 1969, the vessel she succeeded as flagship of the Cunard Line.
The ship was named by Queen Elizabeth II in 2004 after the first RMS Queen Mary.Queen Mary 2 was the longest, widest and tallest passenger ship ever built, and with her gross tonnage (GT) of 151,400 tons, was also the largest. She no longer holds this distinction after the construction of Royal Caribbean International's 154,407 GT Freedom of the Seas in April 2006, which was in turn superseded by the same company's 225,282 GT Oasis of the Seas in October 2009. Independence of the Seas is a Freedom-class cruise ship operated by the Royal Caribbean cruise line that entered service in April 2008. The 15-deck ship can accommodate 4,370 passengers served by 1,360 crew. She was built in the Aker Finnyards drydock in Turku, Finland, builder of Freedom of the Seas and Liberty of the Seas, her sister ships of the Freedom class. At 154,407 gross tons. Like the other Freedom-class vessels, Independence of the Seas features an interactive water park, the H2O Zone, a dedicated sports pool for volleyball and basketball, and whirlpools which extend from the ship's sides. It houses an internal shopping 'street', the Promenade lined with shops, pubs and wine bars, with a "bridge" which can be lowered from the ceiling void to provide a performance space above the crowds. There is also the three story Alhambra theatre, seating 1,200, and a complete conference centre. The show cabaret lounge is based on an ancient Egyptian theme, known as the Pyramid Lounge. On a lower level is an ice skating rink named Studio B, home to a series of professional ice shows, and is also available for personal skating.

It was initially announced that she would be called Endeavour of the Seas, however this name was later changed. The 15-deck ship accommodates 3,634 passengers served by 1,360 crew. She is 1,111.9 ft (338.91 m) long, 184 ft (56.08 m) wide.

Freedom of the Seas is a cruise ship owned and operated by Royal Caribbean International. It is the namesake of Royal Caribbean's Freedom class cruise ships, and can accommodate 3,634 passengers and 1,300 crew on fifteen passenger decks. Freedom of the Seas was the largest passenger ship ever built (by gross tonnage) from 2006 until construction of the Oasis Class ships in late 2009, also owned by Royal Caribbean International.The ship has an interior promenade 445 feet (136 m) long. The promenade has shops on each side.
The ship has three swimming areas: an interactive water park, a dedicated adult pool and the main pool. There are two adults-only whirlpools cantilevered out from the ship's sides, the Royal Promenade sports, a coffee shop, Sorrento's Pizzeria, a Ben and Jerry's ice-cream shop, Vintage's winery, the Bull and Bear Irish pub, and many Duty-free shops. Norwegian Epic - Norwegian Cruise Line

Is the third largest cruise ship in the world, owned by the Norwegian Cruise Line and built by STX Europe (previously Aker Yards) Chantiers de l'Atlantique shipyard in Saint-Nazaire, France. Norwegian Epic has the only tube and bowl water slide at sea in its Aqua park. It also has a rappelling wall, as well as two three-lane bowling alleys. It also has a 17-degree ice bar.
